You may remember that I shared Suzanne and Daniel’s proposal session several months ago. Now I’m back with photos from their wedding at Duck Woods Country Club in Southern Shores, North Carolina. The fabulous Katy Blevins Calabrese of Business Among Moms was my second shooter to help document the day. Daniel and Suzanne first hit it off at the Outer Banks during a work trip/vacation so it was only fitting to have their wedding in the same location. I loved all the beach touches and decor from the day.
You know those shops that have signs that say, “Look, but don’t touch.”? Well, this was ‘touch, but don’t look’. A special moment before their ceremony.
Suzanne and Daniel asked me to capture a photo of their bridal party running from a dinosaur. I love photoshop, so I was all on board. The guests were watching from the balcony during cocktail hour and were wondering what in the world I was doing. Ha.
Ta-Da!!
Suzanne and Daniel choreographed their first dance and it was a-ma-zing!!!
It’s near impossible to capture photos of every single guest at a wedding. People are either eating, up dancing and socializing, or taking a bathroom break so you inevitably miss someone. To remedy this, I incorporated a ‘Lightning Round’ that not only captured EVERY SINGLE PERSON, but it was FUN!!!! The DJ played a fast song and each table had to stand and be ready to take a pic with the bride and groom who were running from table to table. The object was to get through every table before the end of the song. This was such a hit, everyone loved it!
Daniel’s dad made this cake!!! Love that!
