Fort Monroe Maternity + At Home Newborn Session

This is a two-for-one post to include a Fort Monroe maternity shoot and an ‘at home’ newborn session several months later.  It’s almost like one of those HGTV episodes that showcase a months-long dramatic kitchen transformation packaged into one neat little half hour episode for your viewing pleasure.  In May of last year, this sweet family met up with me at Fort Monroe for a maternity session.  They had a baby boy coming to town.  ❤️  The wind was in high gear that day so we avoided the beach, but thankfully Fort Monroe has plenty of other options for shooting locations.  (Read below for the secret weapon that gave me some great smiles from their son Austin!)

Their baby boy, Anders, arrived end of July 2020!!Olaf from Frozen 2 was our secret weapon.  Marianna and Shane had a genius idea to put on Austin’s favorite scene from the movie when Olaf says, “Samantha?!?”  I held the phone above my camera as Austin gave me some great smiles and laughs!And just like that, Anders Leo arrived two months later in July.  How could I NOT get a photo of their sweet dog Ollie?! Ahh, that adorable baby face!  He’s like a little man contemplating his thoughts..  lol.Austin felt the urge to jump off the ottoman and I’m here for it.  He’s my spirit animal.  ❤️❤️❤️psst>> check out a family session at Fort Monroe here
