Smithfield, VA Family Session

It was a HOT and beautiful evening Wednesday night.  Police were directing traffic half a block away as the town of Smithfield was preparing for their fireworks show in just a few short hours.  The sounds of joy and music filled the air with everyone celebrating our country’s birthday!

I fortunately didn’t have to hunt down a parking spot as Liz saved me a space right in her driveway.  Their view of the Pagan River is absolutely breathtaking and was the perfect backdrop for photos!  Liz’s brother, sister-in-law, and nieces were visiting from out of town and their parents are right down the road so we had the whole family together for their session!  Despite the 94 degree temp, they make these photos look effortless.  We championed through the heat, but I think it was all worth it!
